Mark Zuckerberg thinks he can run your business better than you can.
Well, that’s not entirely true. He thinks his company’s new AI agent will.
Meta just announced their AI-powered customer support bot, Meta Business Agent. It’s been tested across a million businesses throughout India, Brazil, and Mexico. Now it’s ready for small businesses around the world using WhatsApp and Instagram.
The virtual agent can recommend products to customers, answer their questions, and book appointments. It can even qualify sales leads.
In future updates, Meta plans on releasing more advanced features like market research and providing real-time insights on what’s working for your business. In addition, you’ll be able to connect the agent to Shopify, Zendesk, and Shopee.
An AI agent could help bustling business owners who still want to remain available and responsive on their social media accounts. While automating customer replies is nothing new, Meta wants to take things a step further.
According to Zuck, “As our models advance, your agent will take on more and eventually help you run your whole business.”
That’s either the pitch of the decade or the setup for a very expensive lesson for Zuck.
